About me
I am an equine-focused photographer in the north of the Netherlands. I live for the small moments that often go unnoticed and photography is a medium through which I can reflect how something felt in the moment. That is why I want to specialise in camera coverage, a cinematic practice that aims to cover different perspectives from a single experience, so I can document a story as a whole.
Slowly through the years I've realised that meaning can be conveyed without words, and that is how I communicate too. I've found I'm most excited in turning small moments into a story and displaying them in a comprehensive gallery.
Outside of doing photography, I am also a data science student, and an avid rider myself. In fact, it was exactly in the horse riding world that my passion for photography grew.
HOW MY JOURNEY BEGAN
In 2014 my family gifted me my first kit DSLR, and it didn't take long until I brought it with me everywhere. They had noticed I was constantly using any device with a camera on it to take photos, and that interest was sparked by my father way before that, who enjoyed using disposable cameras to capture daily moments. I had work showcased in high school and even had some photos displayed in flyers at my stables. Later I took online courses and kept practicing with friends.
I made the transition to mirrorless in 2022 when I purchased a second hand camera, and I became truly committed. I started saving to expand my gear and it didn't take long for me to realise I wanted to pursue my passion while at university.
